The Bass Foundation is a non-profit organization meeting the needs of underserved communities in New Jersey and improving the lives of these residents in a variety of ways.
Through academic grade school programming, one-on-one pre-college mentoring initiatives, and the distribution of necessary goods to underprivileged individuals, we aim to effect positive change in the community.

The Bass Foundation provides goods and services with an intense focus on programming that encourages higher academic achievement, literacy, college preparedness and life skills. The launch of a food support program with weekly deliveries of 80 filled bags provides nourishing kid-friendly meals and healthy snacks to food insecure families at the Louverture Elementary School in East Orange. The recently opened Bass Learning Center provides free tutoring to help students achieve academic success. Various educational, mentoring and food insecurity relief programs support individuals and families in New Jersey communities.

The Bass Foundation’s motto is “Heart-to-heart, changing lives one at a time."
To that end, The Bass Foundation has established programs that encourage children in high-risk communities to realize their full potential. Focusing one-on-one with each individual creates bonds, which leads to trust, honesty and the best plan of action to meet individual needs as they evolve.
Our vision is to live in a community where everyone’s food, clothing and educational needs are met, creating equity and equality and the freedom for residents to live a fulfilled life.
